Families across the Denver metro area come to Denver Y summer camp for a comprehensive experience, including physical activity, art projects, games, time outdoors, character development and social emotional learning - not to mention two field trips each week!

Thornton Day Camp - Week 8: July 27-31 (Ages 10-12)
This week focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) challenges where campers build simple machines, experiment with water and air pressure, and create art with recycled materials. Campers will also develop problem-solving and collaboration skills during group projects. Field trips will include visits to local science centers and outdoor learning spaces to spark curiosity and creativity.
Thornton Day Camp - Week 8: July 27-31 (Ages 5-7)
This week focuses on sports and physical fitness, introducing campers to a variety of games like soccer, relay races, and obstacle courses that develop motor skills and healthy habits. Campers will also engage in creative storytelling and drama activities to boost confidence and communication. Two field trips will offer active outdoor experiences and opportunities to make new friends.
Thornton Day Camp - Week 8: July 27-31 (Ages 8-9)
This week’s theme is creative expression and discovery. Campers will explore various art mediums including painting, sculpture, and digital art. They will also participate in drama and storytelling workshops to boost confidence and communication skills. Social emotional learning activities will focus on empathy and friendship. Two field trips will include visits to local art museums and theaters.

Campers will enjoy a week of creative expression through drama, music, and dance activities designed to build confidence and teamwork. They will also participate in outdoor games and character development workshops focused on empathy and leadership. Field trips will include visits to local theaters and parks, giving campers a chance to perform and explore new environments.
