Act Up Even More: Story Makers — STEM & Technology Summer Camp in Houston, TX

Step into the spotlight and take your storytelling skills to the next level! Act Up: Story Makers is a high-energy drama and literacy arts camp designed for both returning performers and first-time Act Up campers who are ready to stretch their imaginations. During camp, we will explore how stories come to life on stage and screen as campers experiment with character transformation, comic timing, and expressive movement. Through improv games, collaborative scene work, and creative writing challenges, students will learn how to develop strong characters, raise the stakes in a story, and express their emotions effectively with others. We’ll dive deeper into physical comedy, explore visual storytelling, invent characters, and create original scenes and miniperformances. Whether your child loves being center stage or prefers to create from the sidelines, this camp offers multiple ways to shine. By the end of the week, all campers will have strengthened their skills as writers, performers, collaborators, and creative thinkers while having a whole lot of fun “acting up” along the way.
