At the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, young explorers can launch into a world of aerospace adventure. Campers will engage in hands-on STEAM activities, tour the world-class museum, and tackle NASA-inspired challenges. Led by professional educators, programs like "A Sky Full of Stars" and "Cosmic Coders" cater to different age groups, fostering curiosity and confidence. A Sky Full of Stars
Learn about the fundamentals of the science and history of aviation and astronomy. Designed for Kindergarten - 2nd Grade.
Orbital Odyssey
Explore other worlds in the solar system that might be suitable for human life. Designed for Grades 3-5.
Cosmic Coders
Calling all future computer scientists! Novice coders will embark on a week of coding with space-themed challenges. This course is a fun, project-driven approach to coding, ending with a final presentation on their creative work.
Destination Mars
What does it really take for a person to travel to Mars? Let's find out! Campers entering 3rd-5th grades will take a scientific approach to space exploration, including propulsion, space faring, and planetary colonization.
Star Sailors
Young astronomers will explore the universe, from our solar system to black holes and nebulae. They will learn about light, gravity, and other mysteries through hands-on challenges and group interactivity.
Aero Engineers
Campers in upper elementary grades will become aeronauts and engineers to learn more about the science and mechanics of flight. Campers will experiment with and build various components of aircraft design.
Pilot Prep
This course takes the experience to the next level. They will learn what pilots do before every flight (e.g. pre-flight checks, planning, load balancing) and practice on our simulators, and engage with our partners at the McMinnville Municipal Airport.
Up in the Air
Let's go into the skies! Junior aviators will learn the basics about the history and science of aviation, from biomimicry to modern rocketry. Campers will discover and test out the fundamentals of flight, all exploring our unique exhibits.
