They conduct interviews, capture b-roll footage, and experiment with editing styles to create unique narratives. This week encourages creative risk-taking and technical exploration, helping campers expand their filmmaking vocabulary and storytelling skills.
LYNX National Arts & Media Camps: Filmmaking - Week 9 (Ages 14-18)
Week 9 is dedicated to post-production on the second film projects. Campers refine their edits, add sound design, and experiment with color grading to create polished final cuts. They participate in peer review sessions to give and receive feedback, enhancing their critical viewing skills. This week emphasizes storytelling refinement and technical mastery in editing software.
LYNX National Arts & Media Camps: Filmmaking - Week 10 (Ages 14-18)
In the final week, campers showcase their completed films in a celebratory screening event attended by peers, instructors, and family. They reflect on their growth as filmmakers and discuss the creative and technical challenges they overcame. The week also includes workshops on career pathways in film and media, inspiring campers to pursue their passions beyond camp. This culminating experience highlights achievement and community.
